Elisa Lederer, LCSW
I’ve been fascinated by the healing power of consciousness since 1980, when I first read Stanislav Grof’s groundbreaking LSD Psychotherapy. Back then, these medicines were completely banned for medical use. Today, I get to watch the doors finally beginning to open — and the results are nothing short of astonishing.
As ketamine-assisted psychotherapy becomes better known, many experts believe it has the potential to replace or significantly reduce reliance on traditional long-term talk therapy and daily medications for many people, offering faster, deeper, and more lasting results.
In my practice, I specialize in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Unlike classic psychedelics such as MDMA or LSD (which remain in the strictest banned category), ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic and a Schedule III medication. This means it has accepted medical use, a moderate-to-low potential for dependence, and has been safely used as an anesthetic in hospitals for over 50 years.
After combining ketamine’s powerful effects with my 19 years of clinical experience, I’m privileged to witness remarkable transformations. People carrying lifelong struggles with depression, PTSD, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and substance abuse often experience profound relief in just 6–8 sessions.
Clients frequently describe a powerful mood shift: they walk away with a new baseline of wellness. They still know the negative thoughts exist, but they’re now able to ride above them with greater ease, clarity, and emotional freedom. These changes are lasting. People leave with renewed hope, fresh perspectives, and practical tools that actually stick — without the lingering neurological side effects, emotional flatness, weight gain, sexual dysfunction, or cognitive issues common with long-term antidepressants.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be on the leading edge of this first wave. Every session reminds me why I’ve stayed passionate about this work for decades: watching someone finally break free from decades of pain in a matter of weeks is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever witnessed. If you’re ready to explore what’s possible when the mind is given the right key, I’d be honored to guide you.

My approach is hands-on and developmentally appropriate. I work to build a connection that is strengths-based, goal-oriented and trauma-informed. My practice is influenced by the framework of CBT, Family Systems, and Play. My specialty is working with children, teens and parents experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and school issues. Let me be that safe, supportive sounding board for you and your family; we can take this journey together.
Outside of work, I am active with my three young children; we love sports! We enjoy exploring museums, experience activities, and food adventures.
