Booking a session is easy. Here’s what to expect:
  • If you book through the website, we’ll send you paperwork that takes about 10 minutes to complete. Once we receive it, your session is confirmed.
  • For virtual sessions, you’ll receive a link via email. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder or text us at 203-306-5855.
  • If you request a consultation instead of a session, we’ll reach out that day to schedule it and send a link for the virtual consultation. During this time, we’ll discuss what’s bothering you and your treatment goals.
Initial Appointment Your first session lasts about 50 minutes. It’s not an assessment, but an opportunity to better understand your situation and offer immediate support if you’re in distress.

What You Need to Know About Cancellations and Insurance

Cancellation and Insurance Policies

We want to make your experience as smooth as possible, so here’s what you need to know about our cancellation policy and insurance coverage options.
Insurance & Fees You’ve got enough stress, our job is to take some away. We’re committed to making therapy affordable and accessible. We accept Aetna, United Health Care, Oscar, Harvard Pilgrim, and most insurance companies on an out-of-network basis. The cost of therapy depends on your insurance policy, including factors like deductibles and co-pays. Our out-of-network fee is $185. Scheduled sessions are reserved for you, and a full session fee applies for missed appointments or cancellations within 24 hours. Cancellation Policy We understand that schedules can be busy, and conflicts arise. We do not charge for cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice. However, missed sessions or cancellations within 24 hours will be billed at the regular rate.

Process For Insurance Reiburstment

To get reimbursed for therapy sessions, follow these simple steps to ensure a smooth process with your insurance provider.
Step 1

Check with your provider to see if you have “out of network” mental health coverage. This can be done by either calling your insurance provider or by checking your benefits online. Make sure to find out if you have a deductible that must be met, and what percentage of the service will be reimbursed. The CPT code used for individual psychotherapy sessions is “Psychotherapy 60 minutes-90837”.

Step 2

Receive claim information: Payment is expected at time of session.
Upon request, you will receive a “Statement Of Reimbursement” that includes diagnostic information and all other necessary information for you to submit to your insurance provider. Subsequent emails can be emailed monthly upon request.

Step 3

Submit a claim according to your insurance policy.
Generally, your insurance company will ask you to submit the Statement for Reimbursement either via by mail or uploading it onto their portal. After it has been submitted, insurance companies generally mail the reimbursed dollar amount to your home within 2-3 weeks.
